My dad was cared for by the Mid Devon ( Crediton ) team.
The specialist nurse - Sarah , was fantastic.
She sorted Dads TEP and JICB medication.
She liased with the GP and sorted his medication. She gave symptom control advice and the team rang me regularly to check in how things were given .
The team provided me with a friendly ear and Sarah listened and spoke with dad excellently.
The team referred dad to the hospice at home team and Marie Curie nurses .
Thank you
Hospice at Home ( Mid Devon ) visited my dad 2 x daily for the last few days of his life.
Their support was professional yet personal and enabled me to care for dad at home .
They had time to care for dad with great care and dignity and also had great symptom control knowledge and set up and managed his syringe driver which provided dad with all his care rather than having to get District Nurses involved as well .
Doctors explain really well, kind, caring compassionate take good time.
